Introduction
The NU-Q Employee Professional Development Report is used to list the professional development budget and expenses for employees that have a professional development plan. The report is run based on the NETID of the employee running the report.
Annually, at the start of the NU-Q Fiscal Year in January, the Chart of Accounts and Approved QF Budgets are updated, which will update employees’ professional development budget. Updates to the Chart of Accounts and re-allocation of budgets will be reflected in the report.
Running the Professional Development Report
The following section describes how to run the NU-Q Professional Development Report.
- Alternatively, navigate to Northwestern Analytics and log in with your Northwestern NETID and password.
- From the Home screen, click on the hamburger menu button, then the Content menu, and then the Team Content tab.
c. In the folder listing, navigate to:
Team content / Finance Facilities and Research Administration / NUFin Ad Hoc Reports / Provost / Northwestern Univ in Qatar / Employee Reports
2. Click on the NU-Q Professional Development Report
3. On the Prompt Page:
- Select the Calendar Month and QF Fiscal Year of the report.
- After selecting the year the NUAccounting Period and NU Reporting Parameters will be available. Select the Month and Select ALL the years listed.
- Click Finish
4. A report is generated in the default format as HTML. Menu options, such as printing or saving are available at the top right corner of the report.
5. Detailed expense transaction reports are viewed by clicking the Expense Details Report tab at the top of the page. Encumbrance Details, if any, can be viewed by clicking the Encumbrance Details Reports. Note that in most cases, this will be empty.
6. To change the format of the report, click on the button below and select the desired format. This will re-run the report with the same parameters and output in the selected format.
7. To re-run the report with different parameters, select the arrow below and follow the steps from 3.
